Decorating Tattoo Parlors is no Easy Task!

When you think about tattoo parlors, you might often associate them with the way that they have been portrayed in many Hollywood movies: as a slightly dirty place where only bikers go. However, with tattoos becoming much more chic, tattoo parlors are taking on a more professional look.
Tattoo Parlors Cater to All Kinds of Clientele
While tattoos were generally thought of in earlier days as only something that sailors, criminals, and bikers would get, nowadays they are truly becoming fashionable amongst people from many different backgrounds. Thus, the tattoo parlors are now reflecting this change.
If you are a designer, and have been asked by a tattoo parlor owner to create a look that is accessible, yet unique, you have many different ideas at your disposal. No matter the area, tattoos parlors usually have a definitive rocker look to them.
Now, taking that into consideration, you should avoid simply having a stencil artist come in and make pictures on the walls in vibrant colors. That used to be very prevalent during the eighties, but now it just looks contrived.
Thus, what you need to do is add a stylish edge to the parlor. Think about the colors that evoke style. Black is generally considered stylish, but to paint the entire parlor in just that color would make it look depressing.
So, liven up the black color by getting some silver sparkles. Take a sponge with some water, and lightly dip it into the glitter. Next, while the black paint is still wet, dab the sponge with the glitter all over the walls for a nice effect.
Of course, you can also mix other colors in with the sparkles, but make sure it does not look too much like a children’s project. You could add some white vine-like patterns up the sides of the walls for a nice effect too.
With the walls all set, the next thing that you need to do is figure out the lighting. Make sure that the lighting is good enough for the tattoo artists, but still not so bright that it makes everyone look washed out.
When it comes to the furniture, the thing that you have to remember is that a basic chair (like the one at a dentist’s office, will probably be best for the actual tattooing process. However, they would look much better in a stylish black or dark blue color. With the proper planning, and a lot of creativity, you are sure to make the parlor look excellent!

For many, tattoos are full-body art experiments. In a way, ankles especially just beg for tattoos, because the area itself is perfect for ornamentation. Bracelets and anklets help to draw attention to nicely-shaped ankles and wrists, and also help to accentuate the length of legs or hands. So in a sense, ankle tattoos become another kind of jewelry, wrapping around the areas like permanent jewels.
Ankle tattoos, therefore, are often bands of some sort that wrap completely around the ankles. Tribal tattoos are popular choices but so are religious symbols such as prayer beads or rosaries. Even chains, pearls, wires or other string-like designs can be tattooed around ankles. However, some ankle tattoos are not designed like jewelry. Some are simply small images or words that grace one side or the other, usually right above the bone, or a little lower almost on the foot. Once again, these ankle tattoos draw attention to the area. The area itself is small, and therefore so are the tattoos, and while they may be noticed from afar, individuals will have to get a little closer to truly discern the image or the words.
